Well, after two years of terrific fun (and after a lot of umming and aahing too), I've finally decided to sell my 3 door Stilo Abarth. I've enjoyed the technical challenge of restoring it to something near showroom condition: to be honest, it's become a bit of an obsession and I have to stop sometime. Also, I now have six cars on the road, which is a bit much! I'll be really sorry to see the Stilo go, and she'll be a total steal for somebody: my wife says I should keep it as they will only increase in value from here on - but I really do need the space in my workshop...

Also can I take this opportunity to thank my fellow forum members for all their help, wisdom, patience and support: it's made owning, learning about and improving this amazing car feel a lot less daunting than it might otherwise have been!

It looks lovely.

If I had a few more quid spare & my insurance wouldn't kill us, I'd be onto you. A Stilo with a bit more oomph and in such a nice condition would be perfect for me. I'll have to live with my slightly tatty 1600 Active though:)

Re: Sold...

Well, today I sold my lovely Stilo Abarth to a super young couple: genuine enthusiasts who have had lots of Fiats (and indeed Stilos) before, and I just know they'll enjoy and look after the old girl. I hope she behaves herself for them!

So, I'm signing off from the Fiat forum for now, but might drop by occasionally and if I can help anyone with their Stilo, Punto, Cinquecento or Uno then I'll be happy to do so... thinking about that, it seems really likely that I'll be back here with another Fiat of my own some time too!

Happy motoring, and thanks for all your help...

Re: Sold...

Interesting to read this thread, I actually contacted you about the car via eBay! It definitely looked like you'd put the time and effort into it.
