Hello.

So a week ago i decided to try myself in upholstery and i removed steering wheel to put it in a new leather suit. After putting it back on the airbag light turned on and of course famous stilo "airbag failure stop engine" appeared.
I figured i must have displaced clock spring somehow so i used a guide to recenter it but it didn't help. A buddy of mine used tester to delete a few error but "09" and "0a" remained.

After searching forum for codes i found:
Yellow connector in glovebox - cleared -
09 Passenger squib circuit error 98
0A Middle passenger airbag squib 2nd stage error 114

so i cleaned connector near glove box using contact cleaner but the problem is still there.

While cleaning i also found connector with no home.

I would like to know how do i determine which airbag is the problem since codes aren't pointing out the steering wheel one (i think) and if there is a solution that doesn't cost me a fortune.

Ok so I've managed to solve the problem somehow.
I started out by measuring each pin on clock spring. I was measuring resistance and simultaneously turning the spring thing for 90° ( as much as it goes without pressing the ring in). The resistance was fine so I contiuned by cleaning every conection the in steering wheel and clock spring.
I also measured steering wheel airbag resistance which is around 3.7 Ω.
Passengers airbag and it's connectors were also thoroughly cleaned and the resistance of that airbag was around 2.6 Ω.
I have carefully cleaned and dried ECU connectors and checked all the fuses.
Battery wasn't in the car at the time so I'm not sure what solved the problem but the warnining isn't bothering me anymore.

While checking passenger seat airbag I've noticed that it's already been worked on. Looks like previous owner built some kind of "resistor circuit" to emulate airbag sensor. After searching online I found "circuit" scheme which I included in attachments. I'm not sure if this is the same thing as in my car (2003 jtd 85kw) but it looks very similar.
