Sometimes cruise control on my Stilo 1.6 2003 stops working. I'm driving the car, trying to turn on the cruise control (using + switch, green indicator light is on) and nothing happened. Revs are going down when I'm releasing throttle pedal.

Clutch and brake switches are brand new.

What else could prevent CC to start? Issues with throttle?

I would have naturally said it would be related to the brake or clutch switch if it thinks any of them are out it'll not arm.

Check that you've got the arming procedure correct - i think it's something like holding the speed plus switch for so many seconds. Sounds dumb but a lot of cars do it differently. I do find the Fiat/Alfa system to be a little bit temperamental though.

Have you got FiatECUScan / MultiECUScan by chance? If it's detected something that'll stop the CC from arming it should be detectable enough to store a code. That won't necessarily be in the engine ECU though, so you're probably going to want to interrogate all the CANBUS stuff to see if it's got anything lurking.

Yes, I have ECUScan but there are no errors at all. I have some issues with revs and probably throttle and I think these issues are linked together. But have no idea if it is true.

Can you expand on what you mean by issue with revs and throttle?

if you've got issues that may explain it. I dont know if the throttle pot is linked into the circuit at all but the throttle body is all electric and would have to be part of the setup.
