i there any way of stopping the windows going down when unlocking the car with the key.i only have the non remote key and have to use it to get in and out

The windows are designed to go down if you hold the key in the unlock position for more than 2 seconds. They are designed to go up if you hold the key in the lock position for more than 2 seconds. The sunroof (if fitted) will also operate similarly.

It could be down to technique..

Does it do the same in the passenger door lock..?

i think it is down to technique i must be too heavy handed.
i just wondered if there was any way of stopping them when using the key

they go down straight away no matter how quickly i open the door

Pretty sure it's a LEARNT thing.. there is a way of removing that setting..,

Maybe the little bit on the back of the door lock is sticking against the actuator making the car think the key is still turned.

Didn't think it would learn anything, maybe it can be turned off with multiecuscan
