Ok so I want to switch out the headlights on my stilo for some daylight running ones. My problem is that all the headlights I can find are for a 3 door and mines a 5 door.

Does this mean that they have no chance of fitting?... And if so can anyone point me in the right direction??

Thanks guys

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

The front wings and headlamps for 3 and 5 door Stilos are a different shape. Fitting 3 door headlamps to a 5 door car will leave gaps between the headlamp and wing.

Also, as far as I know, the only Stilo headlamps that include DRLs are after market units, manufactured in Europe, and are only suitable for left hand drive cars. Fitting them to a RHD car would be illegal for use in the UK because the beams would dazzle oncoming traffic.
.

Thanks for the response.. And will explain my difficulty finding any...

Last resort was an amazon search... And some from FK automotive came up .... And after entering my reg it said they were compatible with my car... Do you think this would take into account the fact that mines a RHD?

No..... searching FK Automotive's UK site ( www.carparts-tuning.co.uk ) for Stilo headlight, only shows 4 DRL headlights for the Stilo. The descriptions for all 4 of them says Left Hand Drive.

See here: http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/in...&lang=1&cl=search&searchparam=Stilo+headlight

Thanks again... Thats the only lights I've been able to find also... Which means either leave it.. Find something alternative if any.. Or a conversion is required....

Oh the joys of nothing being simple ?

2cases you could split you lights and fit drls inside them I've converted my stilo lights to depo versions as they aren't available in the UK like most other things you see on the net ? hope this helps you regards andy

How did you manage to separate the clear front cover from the black housing? I've tried several times but because the cover and housing are plastic melded together, the only way I've been able to do it is to cut the cover off with a Dremel. That renders it totally useless.
.

I used a hair dryer a Stanley knife and screw driver on mine took about 20 mins to split each one as took my time luckily fiat didn't use that strong of an adhesive compared to valeo ones I split on my corsa b few years back

Nice job... Defo an idea to play with... And i reckon i can muster up a hairdryer and screw driver and stanley knife easy enough ?... Thanks mate

There's no adhesive in mine. The clear front cover and black housing appear to be melded together.

I once tried a hot air gun until the plastic melted but the 2 parts still wouldn't separate.

Mine are original HID Xenon lights; perhaps the assembly process if different for those. I don't see why it would be though.

Davren my bad mate I was thinking of valeo lights the stilo are sealed inside the black plastic you won't see any sealant of sorts you need heat the black plastics as it goes soft put your screw driver between the black and clear plastics to bend the place parts open and bit by bit these will split mate as yours are rare lights my advise try it on a standard one first from a scrap yard or if you can get hold of one off some to try on first as this isn't for someone who doesn't feel confident to do if anyone lives near me in Stoke one trent I wud be more than happy to split them and make them into depo lights like mine and won't charge much to do it tbh. The other thing I forgot to add was you will need tiger seal to reseal the lights again after its how I did mine
