Hi All. MY Stilo 1.9JTD has recently had new glow plugs, and cam belt. All has been fine. last week failed to start on one occasion but came back to life, Last night would start It turns over and sometimes a small firing for half a second but wont start. So I checked all fuses and switched all relays (footwell and battery fuse boxes) round for an alternate relay but still would not start, I had the battery disconnected for 10 mins or so and reconnected still would not start. tried a tow start still no good. Im using just the key as key fob broken, thats been the case for over a year. I left battery off last night and this morning voila it started again first click after battery reconnect. I don't have access to a ECU troubleshoot program so cant give any ECU data. What could be the cause of this any ideas for me to start troubleshooting ?

this turned out to be a sensor behind the timing belt or in that area as the timing belt needed changing when the sensor was replaced. Useless item it seems !
