Ok so ive thought about changing the bulbs to leds in the switches and heater dials in my stilo is this possible and does anyone know how this is done? I have read somewhere that the heater ones are just behind the cover is this right? Is this the case for the switches for the rest of the stilo if anyone can help with or has done the same I would be very appreciative thanks andy

There is a good guide in the Stilo guides section that shows how to replace the heater/fan control panel bulbs. Further to this is more detailed instructions on the 3rd page of comments on the guide. I easily replaced the bulbs behind the panel in about 5 minutes. It's very easy to do, however I just replaced them with the normal filament 286 bulbs. I'm sure if you eBay "T5 286 LED bulbs" you would find suitable ones for next to nothing. I'd imagine they'd just plug and play.

Yes there the ones and saves me changing them  so will be changing the heater panel bulbs thanks for that

The cigar lighter orange ring is lit by another 286 filament bulb if you wanted to change that too. There is another guide in the guides section where someone shows you how to do this too. I just replaced it with a normal filament bulb though.

You can however get greater intensity LEDs and solder them on or change the colour if you're bored of the orange. You would need some confidence in soldering though!

Personally I want to change the colour of the fog light button LEDs so that they correspond to the colours on the dash (yellow and green). Something I also think would be cool is to get it so that as you go along the Tachometer the colours change from green to yellow to orange to red. I think that would be awesome. I know that the tachometer is lit by 4 LEDs in sections but I believe that the plastic overlay with the markings on is so that the light shines through as orange. I could be wrong though!

Hmmm I think I might look into changing all the leds in the cab as want to have them green to make it different think I might get a spare set of everything from a local scrap yard to do test on first and go from there

That is definitely a good idea! Luckily I already have spare parts to mess around with just due to upgrading :p If you do actually do it then share some pics, I'd love to see it!

Since writing this I had a go at changing the LEDs myself and first decided on the below configuration.

Although it looks nice I felt that it looked a bit too childish, being multicoloured and all.

So instead I opted for all blue except the fog light buttons which remained the same. I'm pretty happy with it now but I may change it again depending on how I feel. The window buttons will stay as white for now, I will probably change them to blue when I have some free time :p
