6 speed gear box leakage from breather cap

Hi ive got a small oil leak on my 2004 1.4 6 speed gear box which at first I thought it was from a seal but having a proper look I have found there was loads of oil on top of the gearbox and all around the Breather cap and I touched the cap and it was really loose I mean so loose that's its not worth sticking in there, Is this a easy fix if that's the problem or is it something bigger ?

ive cleaned the top to check over the next few days to see if any more is coming out

It's meant to be a bit loose. Even if it is very loose it is still above the oil level in the gearbox, which only reaches the filler plug way down on the front of the box. Gearbox my be overfilled but that is not likely unless it has been filled with the car at an angle.
