Yes it's 4 stick coils I had to replace one not so long ago haven't had time to replace others yet

In that case check ur plugs mine was fine stationary so i would go with that

So an update on this problem. I replaced a coil on cylinder 3 when it broke and it made no difference so I was not Confident that a coil was my problem UNTIL I had a coil fail on cylinder 1, I replaced that all is good with the asr and car has alot more power than before I will be getting the other 2 done as well as plugs thanks everyone for your help

So Ive changed the battery but still have this problem I get the asr failure while driving during start up its fine now I am going to replace the plugs soon I'm thinking of putting Bosch ones in there as I trust that brand haha if not that then I'm going to have a look at the clocks and then last thing is ECU I'm moving it off the top of the engine anyway stupid idea to put it there anyway haha

Do NOT use the Bosch plugs, just buy the standard NGK ones, they are perfect.
You will get flat spots in the rev range if you change to bosch, read up on the others that have tried out the bosch in the fiat engines....

Also noticed that you changed one coil (cylinder 3) and then cylinder 1...

I did the same, then about 4 weeks later cylinder 2 and 4 gave up.
If you go to euro car parts, they have some HAAS branded coils in for £15 each (for the 1.2 16v stilo and the doblo engine) - so check first and best to replace all 4 so they wear out evenly.... i noticed a huge improvement to the engine after changing mine, runs much much smoother, better fuel economy, slightly more power and engine breaking feels much more smoother and less rough.

Thank you for the information I will be sticking to original plugs now and I've already put 2 coils in that were like £34 each so next week will be changing the other 2, my engine is running like a dream now but noticed on start up I get a ebd failure but then gose straight back out that only happens first start up of the day and when I finish work so when it's freezing out haha think I may change the other 2 coils and see if it solves that

Its been two months since i put two HAAS branded coils on cylinder 1 and 3 and then another month later changed another two coils on cylinder 2 and 4 with haas ones...

It hasnt skipped a beat since, they where £15.10 ish each, i cant fault them, hope it fixes your EBD issue too, if not - clean out the D10 connector.

Thanks for the info might check into them but I'd rather have the same brand for all 4 but will definitely look into for next time thanks
