Hi all.

I have a very spongy clutch in my 02 plate 1.8 16v Stilo. I found the hose and bleed nipple to do the job. Simple question, if I pull out the clip then pull the hose out to the bleeding position will the clip hold the hose there while I bleed it or do I need someone in the car pressing the clutch while I hold the hose in?

Thanks in advance.

From what I recall from past forum posts you do not pull the clip out completely but only a small amount that allows the hose to pull back a few millimeters and fluid to then flow through the bleed nipple by gravity, the nipple does not need loosening or touching if memory serves correct, a search will help clarify the above. Remember to keep a check and top up fluid .

Some info in link below that may help
