My newly acquired runaround, Gerrard (1.9 JTD @ 115bhp) has discovered that I will fix things that go wrong.. :D so today the clutch is being a bit dicky.

Until I get a chance to have a proper rummage around during daylight... (ePer has the "Cabin Boy" error) can someone help?

1) Does the clutch have a slave cylinder in the footwell?
EBay suggests there is a regular "cylinder-shaped" slave attached to the clutch pedal.

2) Is there another slave cylinder on (or inside?) the clutch housing?
I have seen a Concentric Slave Cylinder (CSC) for sale... and Gerrard does not appear to have a regular "cylinder" shaped slave on top of my gearbox... so I presume he has a CSC?

3) I'm guessing that the CSC is not the same thing as the clutch release bearing.. or is the release bearing integral to the CSC, if my beast has a CSC (115bhp) :D

Sorry for the questions... obviously a look at ePer (if it worked) would have quickly answered them.... but it's not working at the moment.. :(

The cylinder attached to the pedal is located in the engine compartment. It's the master cylinder.

The JTD 115 doesn't have a slave cylinder on top of the gearbox. It has a CSC inside the gearbox bell housing.

The CSC is a combined slave cylinder and clutch release bearing.

Be careful when buying clutch components. The dual mass flywheel, 2 part clutch kit and the CSC changed design at least once for the JTD 115 engine.

Aye cheers!

I found a Polish version of ePer online and managed to get the exploded parts view, which confirmed what you've said.

There is just one cylinder (the ePer "intro page" has a picture of two.. but in the exploded view, just one appears .. which narrows it down a bit. :D

I similarly saw that the M50 (JTD 115) has a CSC. The "gearbox mounted" one looks like it belongs to the 80bhp diesel and some of the petrol engines..

Finally.. no release bearing features in the exploded parts view for the M50.

I'll type in my chassis to get the correct Fiat part numbers.. but yes, I noticed there's a million different options for all the parts involved. Hopefully (?) my problem is just the M/cylinder... cheaper to fix than a whole clutch/CSC job... even if it's inaccessible in the engine bay.. :D
