hi could anyone possibly try to get a starter motor part number for me off eper please (the online versions are playing up)
2006 stilo 3 dr jtd 16v 110kw
in subcategory 552 engine starting equipment
for m88 and m92 version
if it gives 2 i need the m92
thanks in advance

just got back to recheck it as it failed me this morning.
starter is spinning but suspect not engaging in flywheel. tried tapping the solenoid and starter bodies , tried rocking car in gear.
no joy, still same, just starter motor spinning.
looks an absolute pig of a job, just to get to it with a bar to tap it aint easy.

just thought id add an end to this

on a second inspection when it eventually stopped raining after several days i realised a big problem with space from above was infact a strut brace id fitted and sprayed same colour as car, so wasn't realising it was removable dohh.
with battery disconnected.
anyway with the brace off , the oil separator removed and tucked behind the dipstick tube that was also loosened by removing the top securing bolt, i already had no egr to remove out of the way.had to disconnect a plug at the base of the vac tank also.(has a horseshoe type clip to pull out before plug will unplug)and glow plug relay off the bulkhead gave a bit more space but not sure if necessary but was only 1 nut securing it.
from there all work done from above, 3 securing bolts for starter were undone with a ring spanner 2 top bolts easy, lower bolt a squeeze to get wrist behind starter solenoid but still done with just a spanner.
with it loose i could eyeball the connections and remove wires just one ring for control and 2 big leads to same pin (battery and alternator ?)
think i used sockets for connection nuts
was a bit supprised there was no earth lead anywhere? must be earthing through bellhousing or bolts.
starter was manouvered out of the gap where oil separator was and new one went in reverse order.
i was a bit achy by then from lying on a carpet across the engine and found the plastic cover that was covering the main leads a pig to refit i bet a lot of people leave it off.
so done with a 13mm, 10mm ring spanner, and 13mm 10mm socket 8mm i think were holding oil separator.
anyway got an rtx starter from euro car parts £128 odd
it was a rtx 1.8kw 402650532
lasted from sept 2006 , 55,000miles but short comutes so plenty of start ups , wonder how long the replacement will last.
