Hi there has anyone ever took the pre cat off the manifold ?? How will it sound... and would it cause any damage or would I get any warning lights on the dash.

Mines not mapped just straight through from the turbo, how will it sound if I took the pre cat off would I get better fuel economy ??

I've got a pre cat on mine it's straight through from the turbo with a back box on it

Taking the precat gives error message (Engine management light) across all stilo's doesn't it?

A backbox delete will make all the difference though...have it cut out and weld the nice tip (if its not standard) welded to the end of straight piece of pipe...

My friend just had his Vauxhall vectra 150 ctdi (1.9 JTDM alfa/fiat engine) backboxes deleted and it sounds so much better for it!

But i must confess i know little of the jtd's.... Being an abarth manual owner :slayer:

Will it sound better with a back box or without a back box

Ok mate precat is in its straight through from the turbo I'll just put a tip at the end, how will it be on fuel economy ?? Will it sound better without the back box ??

I've got a Jap can muffler on at the moment at you can hear the whistle sound nice not too loud

I'll take the back box off and put a pipe on it with a tip at the end
