double check the wiring cannot be swapped between the 2 x devices
So I checked the wiring but they have very different connectors so they couldn't be swapped, if that's what you meant...
I also cleaned MAF connector, MAP connector and the sensor itself and boost solenoid connector. At least the MAF fault has not reappeared... for now.
I tried to take some videos while checking the turbo actuator to show you guys how much it moves. Unfortunately I was alone so this is with engine off and moving it with a screwdriver. Will try to get someone to give it some revs later on.
The videos are pretty bad because as you know there isn't much space around there.
Quick overview of the actuator:
Moving the actuator:
Same thing, a little bit more of the lower part of the actuator can be seen here:
Are those paint marks in there normal or does it mean that someone has been fiddling around with the actuator and probably messed the factory setting?
Does the position of the adjuster look normal?
Hope someone can help because after a ABS problem I run out of money so no more mechanics for me...
Thanks!
(Forgot to mention that the same "Overboost valve" fault came up and apparently puts the car in some sort of limp mode with minimum power. The fault appears over 3000-3500 rpm. Amount of throttle doesn't make a difference.
After clearing the fault the "limp mode" is gone and the fault doesn't come back unless exceeding said rpm)
(Something else I forgot to mention is that I made those actuator test with
multiecuscan. Tested the EGR valve and I could hear it moving and sounded good. Also tested the boost solenoid and I could hear it clicking... I guess that's good?)
