I know there are several posts on this topic already but I thought I would list what I have tried already and maybe some of you guys can suggest something as I am litterally pulling my hair out and getting to the end of patience with this.
Ive got a 2003 1.2 16v active stilo with 90k miles on the clock....
When I bought it the lady had just paid a mechanic to fit a sensor to the passenger seat and it was all working fine for a couple weeks and then developed a problem.
After a little research I learnt that the airbag failure issue was quite common and caused by the passenger seat occupancy sensor (which the mechanic had over rid with a box)
Thinking that the overide box had failed I bought a new one on ebay and fitted it but I still had the same issue of airbag failure.
Things I have tried :
1) Fitted a new overide occupancy sensor to the passenger seat
2) Removed Seat and check all the wiring and connections
3) Disconnected the battery for 30 mins and reconnected.
4) Screamed some chosen words of abuse
5) Pulled out large clumps of my hair.
Any ideas and suggestions on what I could try next would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Andy
