Hi, I bought a 56 plate multiwagon multijet JTD Dynamic 120 around 4months ago, it's my second stilo, the first being written of by a wall around 4 yrs ago.!
I had an issue with starting problems but found two of the glow plugs th be faulty so replaced them all and it started great after that.
A few weeks later and The car suffered a loss of power whilst towing my caravan, very embarrassing, foot to the floor and doing 20 mph in 2nd gear for around 25 miles!!!!!!
EML came on too.
Under advice , I removed and cleaned out the EGR and Air mass sensor which gave a slight improvement but no acceleration from standstill or when needed at higher revs, almost like there is no turbo fitted.
Looking at the posts here I seem to think that the turbo control solenoid is at fault and not the other items.
I have a registered copy of FiatECUScan from my previous days of stilo, ownership plus the coloured leads and an Elm 327(?), with wich I managed to clear the EML and reset the service coupons to 0, the light stayed off for a week or two and I still had the power fault but the light has now come back on, so I am going to replace the solenoid and then reset it again, hopefully that will give me that lovely burst of power when it's needed.
Any other ideas or advice would be welcome in trying to solve my problem.

As you have the fiatecuscan and cables you will be able to read any fault codes present before clearing them and the eml light which may help in finding the item at fault, either do search of the error code or add to your post for assistance.
The turbo solenoids valve does cause eml light and also produce a fault code though do not remember off hand what it is, but quick search of forum will help you once you have any fault codes, the solenoid valve in factory fitted location is prone to water damage and if faulty or not is worth moving and fitting higher up to the side of the plastic battery box, no extra tubing required and further information on this can be found in the guides section, also depending on the error codes, removing the connector to the mass air filter and running the car with connector not fitted will show better running if this is at fault, read with Fiatecuscan for errors codes first and should be big help in your trouble.

Sounds like the solenoid valve to me... But as said what was the fault code. And yes move it up higher in the engine bay whilst your at it.

I have just bought a Multi-jet Multi-wagon 120 dynamic too and am enjoying it so far.
