:bang:hello again.
So recently been having a bit of a start-up problem. I jump in for the first start of the day and the car either bursts into life or gets to idling speed and just dies out.
I've had a look and no error codes show but an old throttle pos sensor code was showing so I'm suspecting it's an intermittent fault I'm that area.
When I looked on autodata for part identification it gave me an arrow to the ecu. I'm thinking it's just the pin location but I need a little help.
Also unsure if it is this at all or just a low battery charge as I read on another post about headlight dimming when that's the case and I'm also getting a high coolant temp reading that fluctuates and its all stressing me out.
Hope someone can help and hope it's cheap as I can't afford a bag of crisps at the moment .

First I'd eliminate the basics, charge battery fully overnight or borrow a known good battery, clean the battery terminals, check/clean maxi fuse connections, check /clean the body computer earth to the right of the battery, clean connectors under the fuse box e.g. https://www.fiatforum.com/stilo-guides/99828-d4-connector.html

I think engine details may help. My guess, you have a diesel.

I think, I've got probably similar problem.
I bought Stilo SW 1.6 76kW 2003 with LPG system from Prince.
I bought it with this problem. When is switched LPG on, then motor goes relatively OK. But with petrol, motor shut off in few seconds.
It stayed probably for 3/4 year.

So when I was buying I ride on LPG system and it was OK. When I arrived to my home I turn motor off. And from this moment it imossible to make motor alive.

First start - it takes about 5 seconds, rpm seems to be OK but after 5-10 sec. go down and motor shut off.
Second start - it starts more noisy and longer with vibration, after start up 1-3 sec motor shut off.
With more starts goes worst and worst.

It doesn't notify any failure on display.

I clean fuse box (see picture before cleaning) with Kontaktol and piece of cloth then spray it with Kontaktol again and give it some time to dry.
I tried to "calibrate" flap (60 sec. key turn on, 15 sec. break then try to start.)
But it is same as I mentioned up.

Battery is new 55 Ah.

There's some disconnected connectors but I've got Stilo only a few days - I don't know it's right. Last picture is above 5th door under "roof cover" (don't know exact name).

Where could be bug hidden?

It's impossible go to FIAT diagnostics because motor shut off.

I'm sorry for my english.

Sounds like fuel starvation to me I would start with the lpg system.

Had a bash of that. No improvement. High coolant temp warning doing my nut. Any ideas?

Just an update.
Further inspection revealed water leaking into the cylinder head.
Head gaskets gone.
The nightmare continues.
