Hello I have recently taking apart many of the internal panels to investigate the heater blower problem...

During this procedure I have lost the ability to open my boot and the reverse lights do not work

All the covers are still off and I have found this multi plug not connected but can't work out what plug it into

Has this got anything to do with the problems I have come across or cansomebody direct me to the Lead routes for the boots and reversing lights so I can see if they are still connected fully

Most manufacturers, including Fiat, include wiring in the loom for optional extras. The 2 pin connector looks like it's for one of the temperature sensors fitted to cars with the automatic climate control option. As you car has manual CC, the connector isn't used.

oh cool, thats what i wanted to hear! doesnt look like ive disconnected anything from that area!

i just need to work out now before i put all the panels back together why reversing lights nor boot button now doesnt work!

do you know of any wiring connections/multiplugs, to do with reversing lights or boot button, around the control panel area i may have disconnected?

any other suggestions please? many thanks

According to the wiring diagrams, the only common point for reversing light and boot lock circuits is the rear multiple earthing points. There are no connectors for either of those circuits near the heater control panel.

i just discovered that dodgy wiring in my rear light clusters (which ive now fixed by replacing the burnt earth terminals) blew the reverse light fuse - simples!

but i still cant get the boot button to open, even though ive tested every fuse in the drivers side compartment.....

where are the rear multiple earthing points? particularly for the boot button now?
