Stilo 1.4 2004. Instruments have faint chattering sound when ignition switched on before starting . Seems to be in the area of rev counter.
Anyone experienced this ?
Unable to say how long this has been evident because I don't normally drive this car as it is usually used by mrs.

More likely coming from the air con distribution controls...

But all air con switched off ......................

Follow-up... I have checked my Bravo with ignition on and all other switches off and I can hear a very low sound like distant muffled motor . Not as loud as in the stilo. What might be running to cause this , any idea YP?

Your headlamp adjustment motors?

I am hard of hearing but with ignition on, there are still a whole lot of systems operating. Even turning the motor off and removing the key, there are still shutdown sounds.
