Hi all my 1.9 steering feels too powerful the slightest movement has very keen reaction on the steering

Also when i turn the wheel slightly and let go stationary the wheel will roll back violently violently and rock back and forth a few times

Car drives ok but starting to make me cautious

Any ideas?

Nope city mode makes it feel like i have no steering at all , no resistance at all

Thats my thought too . The stilo has relatively heavy steering normally.
Check track rod ends are not worn as this can give the feel of light steering too.
You dont say if someting has recently changed or if its always been that way.
I had a worn link at the end of the steering column on my first stilo (at about 120k mind you). I took it to a main dealer because of an 'uncertain' feel to the steering. An adjustmement was possible but recommended as a temporary , although not not dangerous, fix.

Interesting .. Ill check track rods but it has just passed the mot , nope nothing changed recently .. Current milrage is 95k
