Firstly, very sorry to post this again, I did post it as a reply in another thread...

Hi, I've got the 120hp diesel stilo sporting and I've been having problems with mostly a lack of power/torque when trying to accelerate. I can turn a corner at say 20+mph in 2nd, floor the pedal and it just gently creeps up through the revs until it wakes up and the turbo seems to kick in. I've described it almost as if I've left it in say 4th at too low a speed and you need to wait for the car to catch up, I have the same problem in all gears, and power also drops off on any kind of slope forcing a change down. I've had the map sensor changed, egr valve replaced, new air, fuel and oil filters, throttle body cleaned but the problem still persists, along with the odd engine warning light and complete lack of power and stuttering on startup and driving off. Oh and occasionally cuts out as I try to pull away and says low oil pressure please restart engine! Just wondering if anyone's got any ideas on what could be causing the faults I've mentioned so I can hopefully point my mechanic in the right direction seeing as all the other parts replaced are yet to solve the issue. Or is this particular Stilo just doomed! Thanks in advance.

Details of any fault codes would be helpful, better to make note of any if you are going to clear them to see if any re…occur..

You could try disconnecting the connector to the MAF located by air box to see if the car runs better , may give a fault code but you will be able to know if that is causing any issues with weak power, and tick it of things tried on the list if does not make any difference.

Well back then the only fault I really had was the lack of power and boost, can't remember what the code was tbh, but it was something to do with the turbo. Didn't really have any smoke though.
