General Wrote my Stilo off ?

My 1.0 Selecta only had 45bhp but that flew! As you said from a standstill nothing comes close for the first few metres. Oh how I enjoyed the look on people's faces when they got smoked by an old tin box!

Always wanted a 1.1 Selecta, don't they have 55-60BHP?

Yep 50bhp, but stick a 4x4 cam in them and its somewhere between 55-60bhp

Pete, do you know Cannock Auto Salvage? It's on the same industrial estate as CMC Cannock (motorbike place near the old Globe Pub)
Here's the address anyway: Brindley Business Park, WS11 7GD.

I know what you mean about the power. I had the newer 120BHP Multijet and it flew when the Turbo came on song! You've got the blades on yours haven't you? Absolutely the best Alloys for the Stilo, I wanted a set for mine. They look amazing in anthracite.

Hi Sam

Thanks for that yes i know were that is ive been there before as it goes and got some bits for my voyager when i had it last year very reasonably priced too i don't know if it has got the bladed turbo ive never looked into it, all i know is it works well and the car is sound mechanically just needed a bit of TLC

Its much better now than when i first had it dashboard lights on bleeping sound every time i started it error messages on the dash ..... now its all gone, all i get now is check ok come up when i start it ive even installed an auto cd changer its a great car i like it a lot, ive even had it fully valeted and i take her in every few weeks to have her cleaned

Although if do sell it at any point ill be after a Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel but anyone who has my car after me will be getting a good car as i do like to look after my cars any problems they have are fixed, but as i say wont wont be selling for a good while yet

Pete.....

By blades I meant you've got the blade alloys ☺

They're ok at Cannock Auto Salvage but somethings can be expensive. Although I got a 12v socket, New side repeater units, an owner's handbook and a steering wheel cover for my Peugeot all for the princely sum of £15. Well happy with that!

I like the Cherokee, however I've got a huge soft spot for the 4.2 V8 diesel Land Cruiser Amazon. However for how well they hold their value you could buy an L322 Range Rover Diesel.

It's good you've managed to fix all those things yourself. I'd keep hold of it now if there's nothing wrong with it and run it into the ground

A bit of both, less than 100 in the UK on the road now, and I own 2 and am not selling any time soon :p

The 999cc Selecta's are uber rare now tbh.

I only paid £295 for my Panda Selecta in 2005. It had a Full MOT, it had really low mileage and was almost in perfect condition.

I used to get 55MPG+ out of mine and it handled brilliantly. It used to lean loads but would never lose grip and would lift a rear wheel in corners :slayer:

Yep, I paid £350 for one of mine in 2007, is a 1993 K-reg and only had 15500 miles on the clock at the time. I then proceeded to put the same mileage on her in the first 12 months of ownership :p

Nice to hear of a Panda being driven properly also, can't beat some on the edge tyre squeal :D

Hi Sam

Well the alloys are not the original they are 5 spoked after market ones made by OZ Racing if you,ve heard of them ill try and put a picture of the car on if i can

Yes i have spent quite a bit of time on the car over the months when i first saw the car it kind of reminded me of a 4x4 that's one of the reasons i had it

There was one more thing i had go wrong with my stilo i forgot to mention... about

Id be driving along normally then all of a sudden it would lose power acting like it had cut out but the engine would keep running and the throttle was not responsive it would happen on a motorway or on any road

The only way to get it back was to momentarily take my foot of the peddle and put it back again, then it would drive normally it got a bit hairy at times anyway i plugged it in and it turned out to be the brake light switch would you believe was working intermittent and so confusing the ECU so replaced that had no more problems after that

Pete.....

It's shocking how cheap they were. Now they're becoming noted as a classic it's hard to find a decent example less than £1K.

I was a bit of a boy racer for the first few years of getting my licence. The Panda was just so much fun! Quick off the mark, excellent on fuel and handled like a go kart on stilts.

You should get yourself some tasty blades on it. There are some freshly refurbished ones for sale in the classified section.

They actually made a Multiwagon that had off road styling but it wasn't sold in the UK. Looked really good at the time and suited the Stilos boxy looks.

The brake light switch is also something I forgot to mention that failed on mine! Mine caused me no end of grief. Luckily this forum helped me sort it out, was a right bitch to get out and back in again!

It was called the Stilo Uproad. Looks like an Audi A6 Allroad to my eyes!

Looks like nice and tidy Stilo. Alloys really suit it, although the blades would look even better. Love the tinted windows too.

Not keen on the Abarth stickers personally, might look better if they reached the start of the rear arch or were lower on the sill.

However it's great to see some individuality and I know it's all personal preference at the end of the day. Some people on here have changed all their badges for Abarth ones and they look great.
I personally put 165T badges (from the Bravo 2.0 Multijet Sport) on the tail of my car under the Multijet badge and also above the side repeaters.
Again I know this wouldn't be to everyone's taste but I liked it Nice and subtle is my style

Hi Sam

Looks like im going to need the airbox from your old car now if its still there as the oil trap on mine has come away from the main box and has scraped on the road making a big hole in it
