Engine Fault and loss of acceleration

Hi there having quite a lot of trouble with my Fiat Stilo 52 plate 16v,

Started off a couple of months ago when the engine Management light came on when a technician came to look at it he found a fault with the spark plugs so changed them then it was ok for a few weeks
A few weeks later it happened again but started loosing acceleration and loss of power couldn't go any faster than about 15mph
He came out again and cleaned all the system out and went through all the computer system reset the ECU and everything ok

Literally a few days later lost acceleration on the motorway so ended up having a throttle box replaced then it drove ok for a few weeks
Then started again Engine Failure and loss of acceleration but he couldn't find a fault so it had 6 hours work on it checking the timing but everything was ok since then it has been doing this everyday cant get down the road without it going but it has now started racing when idling

if anone can give me some advise cause without it faulting i cant really do much otherwise its going to be time to get rid of it unfortunately.

Left it standing for a few days came to start it up and now showing ABS fault ASR fault and engine fault at the same time.

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

First thing to do with a Stilo with multiple electrical fault is to test the battery, and its connections.

Hi there battery been tested and connections all ok

If all other connections have been checked as you say then I would purchase some spray electrical contact cleaner (not brake cleaner etc etc) and make sure the connections of the two big plugs to the main ECU and the ECU pins themselves are clean.
Then if it still is playing up after that, sounds like the ECU itself is faulty.
I had this. Lots of random faults one after the other. Hope this helps.
