Hi everyone i am new here had my 03 plate stilo now since dec and been getting engine fault alt fail loose connection, ran all tests with multimeter and everything looks like it is spot on, changed rpm sensor yesterday and car is harder to start and doesnt like to start straight after turning the engine off, i find my engine stalls with this message when i am using the brake slowing down or sometimes sitting in idle neutral posistion, only when the engine is at running temp, looked at the infamous D4, all fine, left with ecu removable and inspect for possible dropped pins.

Does anyone have any clues as it is leaving me a little clueless and not liking the 130 mile drive i do every week incase it wants to go errr computer says no and mario comes and lets the gremlin loose.

Wondering if best to put orginal rpm sensor back to combat the starting problem andblook at a ecu move to battery box if anyone can shed some light on how to do this
