Recently and without any obvious cause, the airbag warning on my 2002 5-door 1.2 Stilo has come on again.

The ECUScan software says that it's the passenger airbag squib circuit, which is - apparently - shorted to ground.

I'm about to squirt some contact cleaner into the connector inside the glovebox, but is there anything else that's a likely cause/solution?

Thanks!

Very common, clean the connectors

Did you mean the connectors in the glovebox, or are there some other less accessible ones I should know about?

It's odd that it should report a short to ground, rather than an open circuit, if a connection is poor.

Thanks,

Daniele

I'd check the complete circuit if you can. Look under your seats there's blocks there wiggling them and cleaning connectors fixed mine

I just cleaned all four connectors with cleaner from maplin, seats bit tricky being 6 ft 8 you best of inverting yourself upside down, anyway all cleaned (with battery disconnected) fault light off straight away, jobs a good en
