Well had the Abrath two weeks - its had a few slight issues so I got a serviced booked with Fiat in Oldham (motorparks)

I picked it up with 7 stamps in book and in immaculate condition yet was unsure on last service etc. The Fiat guys did a oil filter etc and gave it a once over, oh they was impressed all they could suggest was a cooling and brake fluid change.

They said the selespeed is good, belts good and commented there's not many like that one :) Its running loads better just a bit lumpy in 1st/2nd at low speeds when cold - could this be the solenoid? Even joked today you had a Italian mechanic, Franco Carpentio haha

Obviously all these horror stories of the selespeed put people off, But have the ones that broke been battered? what maintenance can I have done to make sure its ok. I did read somewhere its suggested the full unit is changed every 120000km now thats 74500, the cars just got to 76k Do you just get the clutch rod readjusted? would fiat have looked for this on the computer check?

Overall im happy, as well as a service they also

Fiat checked the recalls - 3 have been done.
Upgraded the impact collision on the ecu, everything else was up-to-date
Took it for a spin, petrol had gone down quite a bit!
Loved the car
