Good morning fellow Stilo owners.

This is my first post so hopefully its in the right area of the forum ??

I have recently purchased a 2003 Stilo 1.9jtd 3 door car and it has the common problem of having the airbag light on!!

I have had it plugged in and the fault code "POO22 Passenger side curtain squib value too low " I have looked for the connector in the boot only to find that someone has removed the connector and joined the wires via chocolate blocks !!! would this cause the fault code above ???

Also can anyone clarify that the wires that have been joined together are the right way ??

there is a Brown cable that is joined to a blue and white stripped cable
and Blue cable that is joined to a black and white stripped cable

has anyone a picture of there passenger side connector for reference ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated ??

Thanks

Keith

Hi Keith, Welcome the the FF.

Just checked the wiring diagram from the workshop manual, it only shows wiring colours up to the connector. Google and/or search eBay for "Stilo curtain airbag". You may find some pictures of the airbag with the wiring still attached and be able to see the colours.

Some diagnostic tools that say 'passenger side', mean passenger side for a LHD car, so if your car is RHD, the fault could actually be on your driver's side.

Hi Davren,
Thanks for the reply
I was assuming that as someone had previously fiddled and removed the orange factory fitted connector and poorly reconnected that it could be the guilty culprit the drivers side connector appears fine.
I have searched all the Stilo related airbag pics on the net but can't find one that's in situ connected to show me the connections hence thread on here
Hopefully another 3 door owner will take a peak at there one and answer.
Regards
Keith

Hi again
Thanks for the link just a pity the picture is not better quality lol
I will clean the drivers side connection tomorrow.

Also any idea in the error message squib value to low what that means ?

Cheers

Keith
