Hi all,

I'm a total novice when it comes to cars having just passed my test a month ago! I have a 1.6 16v 5dr dynamic 02 plate stilo. The other day when driving the engine fault light came on and has been on ever since. The car judders often when in low gears and the engine has become very loud, it roars like a boy racer car from the moment the engine is turned on, it's a deep rumbling kind of noise accompanied by a clicking noise from the drivers side of the engine. When idling the revs move up and down a lot before finally settling. It has also cut out a couple of times while driving, when it cuts out the oil and battery lights come on but disappear once it is started again. I paid next to nothing for the car and basically just want a rough idea of what the issue could be before I put it into a garage, if it's looking like it'll cost a fortune I'll just bin it and get something else!
