Hi guys,
I'm attempting to tackle changing the radiator on my Stilo 1.6 MW, and appear to be stuck at what I thought would be the easiest bit!
I got the car up on ramps, took the bumper off so I could see better, then went to tackle the hoses.
Is there a trick to getting the quick/easy release clips off from the top and bottom of the radiator? I assumed it would just be push together with forefinger and thumb and slide them off, but no joy. My fingers are wrecked, I broke the air resonator off the airbox trying to get the top one off, and couldn't get either off them squeezed enough to pull off.
The clips are clean, no corrosion or crud as far as I can see! Is there a special tool to use to squeeze them together? I can't see how you could even fit a tool in for the top ones without dismantling the airbox and battery tray!
Help!?!? I'm off to stick my poor fingers in some ice!
