Hi guys,

I'm attempting to tackle changing the radiator on my Stilo 1.6 MW, and appear to be stuck at what I thought would be the easiest bit!

I got the car up on ramps, took the bumper off so I could see better, then went to tackle the hoses.

Is there a trick to getting the quick/easy release clips off from the top and bottom of the radiator? I assumed it would just be push together with forefinger and thumb and slide them off, but no joy. My fingers are wrecked, I broke the air resonator off the airbox trying to get the top one off, and couldn't get either off them squeezed enough to pull off.

The clips are clean, no corrosion or crud as far as I can see! Is there a special tool to use to squeeze them together? I can't see how you could even fit a tool in for the top ones without dismantling the airbox and battery tray!

Help!?!? I'm off to stick my poor fingers in some ice!

Yep same once there off theyve had it just put some screw up jubilee clips on them then you can snap old ones off wjth a screwdriver

Thanks guys, I mean the weird ones attached to the coupling that attaches to the hoses. I managed to get them off though, by putting a cable tie around the two clips and squeezing them tight with the cable then prying them off with a screwdriver. No way was I ever going to get them off by hand!

Unfortunately two of the bolts that hold the radiator undertray on were a rusted mess, I had to cut them out of the plastic. They were the middle two bolts and didn't seem to be holding anything up apart from the plastic tray so I'm not to worried about missing them.

Went to change the side lights too while the bumper was off, and gave up. I also snapped two of the bolts holding the bumper up, one of the bolts holding the plastic side guards and the front bolt on the left headlight. Are fiat bolts made of pencil lead!

At least I don't have to carry a 5 litre bottle of water just to go to the shops now :)
