please help

I can't provide technical info about this problem, also i don't have any good news...
I have experienced the same problem on my 1.6 Stilo. I'm sad to say, but your Cluster indicator (speedo) is failing. It starts by freezing, then randomly "fixes" itself.. it wont be long before it dies for good. Something to do with internal micro chips.

As far as my research went, it can be fixed by good electric mechanic. I chose easier path. I bought a new cluster indicator panel. IMPORTANT, if you'll choose to buy a new cluster panel, you MUST buy with lower miles/km on it. Example at the moment your odometer shows: 170000km, so you must buy a new cluster panel with lower km, 169999 and below, that way you could easily match your current km/miles. If you end buying cluster panel with higher km/miles you wont be able to match it with your cars km/miles.

Plenty info on the problem mate. Looks like yours is fooked. You in the UK i presume. £120 plus postage from these guys unless you live close and you can get it done while you wait

Or yellowstilo or yellowperl (never remember what one) will do it cheaper but he lives in Holland so fine if you are in no great hurry.

it's yellowstilo....

you will save around 45 pound including 2x shipping costs when you don't mind sending your instrument cluster to NL - in most cases same day repair + resend - shipping time NL to UK is aprox. 3 working days.
