Actually, no. Time had come for new front discs and pads for the Schumi, and I've been trained by this forum that there are always better and cheaper alternatives to FIAT parts elsewhere.

However, did the rounds of the usual suppliers, and ended up buying OE from my local FIAT dealer. They supplied a full kit - two discs and a set of pads (complete with replacement spring clips and caliper bolts) for £125 +VAT. And I was really impressed with the quality. The discs hubs and cooling vanes were even already painted in black - saved me a job!

ill be honest... aftermarket brembos come in cheaper for the non painted varient BUT at that price for genuine thats good!!

dont get me wrong i am a MASSIVE fan of OE, but sometimes there are better quality aftermarket replacements.

for me (and i know some people will disagree)
Mann for filters
NGK/NTK for emissions control and spark generation
OE for sensors (because apparently Bosch aftermarket isnt made to the same quality)
TRW for suspension (although i am half way through instaling Monroe Reflex shocks because they came up at the right price)
and Brembo for braking.

ultimately people will have different experiences with different manufacturers. the above listed are the best of what i have had the experience of. untill i have a bad experience i will stick with it!
