Just looking on eper at the instructions for removing the radiator on a post 2004 1.4 16 valve engine. It says to undo the hose clips, remove the hoses and the radiator will drop down (after removing the bottom cross panel). This is surely incorrect as the proper way is to undo the quick connection clips right at the radiator spiggots but leave the hoses connected. Can anyone confirm this?

Assume you mean in eLEARN? ....ePER is the parts catalogue.

There are lots of mistakes in eLEARN, mainly because of the poor translation from Italian to English.

You are correct that the hose can be disconnected by squeezing the retaining clips and removing the plastic elbow, complete with hose. However they are often difficult to unclip from an old car.

I suspect they were designed more as a quick connection clip for when the cars were being assembled at the factory, rather than a quick "disconnect after its been there for several years and is full of crud and difficult to access" clip.

Thanks for the pic. To undo the clip do you just press the tabs inwards and that releases it?
