Hi, this is my first post here.....

I have a 2002 Stilo 1.2 3-door, and it has a lot of minor issues, mostly seemingly random electronic faults. My battery went flat a week ago and I charged it, only to have it go flat again. While setting it up to charge again, I just noticed something weird. The relays in the engine bay (near the battery), seem to be in a different order to those on my dad's 2003 Stilo 1.2 5-door. Is there any good reason why this would be different? Can anyone confirm the correct relay placement for my car?

On mine the 20A and 30A relays on the bottom row, and the one on the extreme right are in the opposite order to those on my dad's car.

Thanks

What harm can I do if I swap them around to make them the same as on my Dad's car? I'm wondering if doing this will make some of the random faults go away. The car has been in to the fiat dealer many times and they haven't fixed anything. Thanks again.

Problem is, you don't know whether yours or your dad's are fitted correctly. You could end up with both cars wrong.

This is how they should be for the 1.2 engine..

T2, T3, T5 (if fitted), T10, T14 (if fitted) and T17 (if fitted) are 20 amp.
T6, T8 and T9 are 30 amp.
T7 is 50 amp.

Davren, thank you very much. It turns out that the fitting instructions you gave me match those of my dad's car, I just corrected the installation of mine to match. T06 and T09 had 20A and T10 and T05 had 30A.

Philip B, what is Elearn? I tried the manual, but it shows only the fuse positions and ratings.

Anyway, hopefully this is another of the many things wrong with this nightmare of a car that we have managed to make right. I've owned 3 fiats, and this has been the worst, but I suspect that much of that has been down to the previous owner not servicing it properly.

Thanks again for the help. (y)

Its a Fiat program that has some useful information in it on the fiat Stilo, where things are and how they work
