Hi,

I have a Stilo 1.6 MW and today whem I drive I pass to a water table and the car enter in aquaplaning. The dashboard alarm ASR fault and Motor fault.
At the same time the car enter in safe mode and only revs to 1500-2000 rpm and shows the two fault codes P1220 and P1687.
I have erased the fault codes but they come back again.

Any advise will be helpful :)
Tx

Even if you have a battery area fuse board/relay cover fitted with amount of water you went through you may well have wet fuse/relay board in the engine by the battery so worth checking as you may have shorted a circuit, if you do have a cover take a look to see for water damage could of blown fuse in that area also, but if you do not have fuse/battery cover more chance of water in the electrics around that fuse board

I have the battery area fuse board/relay cover fitted and apparently is completely dry.

ok does seem like water in electrics...for my view on things it.may be worth if possible taking read of battery voltage and that it has a good charge in it and checking fuses in engine fuse board if any have blown due to short from water entering a connector

the ASR fault was probably as a result of unexpected behaviour set by the ECU when you were aquaplaning. i wouldnt worry too much about this unless the fault returns.

the Engine fault i dont believe is set because of the 2 fault codes you mentioned but i may be wrong.

P1220 Throttle position (signal implausible)
P1687 Motorised throttle(stop learn)

try carrying out the reteach procedure (Link in my sig below) let us know how you get on.

Tx, I will try. Everything is dry in fuse box (fuses are all ok) and I have check several units and everything is apparently ok, but motor alarm in dashboard still keep and the motor only revs to 1500-2000 rpm.

Hi richy,

Tx for your support but the ECU is gone...no way to recover.
Was tested in another car and the same symptoms the car only rev 1500-2000 rpm.
