Ok so I am giving serious thought to getting everything needed to fit one as I currently have an aftermarket single din headunit, I fancy the sat nav as I am bored of using my phone for it all the time.

My Questions are,
1. Am I right I need the unit, the right cage, a mic and an antenna???

2. Ca the screen only be used as a sat nav or can it be used as a dvd player???

2.5. If it is a dvd player too, does it have outs for extra screens???

Or would it be better to just get an aftermarket double din dvd and keep using my phone for sat nav???

Ok I see. Well it can be fitted but it'll only work as a CD player and possibly a radio. If you want the sat nav to work you need to install the gps antenna and I think the wiring loom. Also I don't think the steering wheel controls will work. And no it won't work as a DVD player.

In short it would probably be better to buy an aftermarket one. It'll be cheaper, more functions, better quality and a lot less hastle to fit plus you can buy adaptors to make the wheel controls to work :)

my car doesn't have the steering wheel controls anyway and a fried has sold me a Double Din DVD player cheap so since I already have the Double Din facia in my car that seems the logical route to go as the DVD function is the most important bit due to kids and long trips lol.

cheers for your help.
