MY CRUISE CONTROL IS NOT WORKING, it's never worked from me owning the car, can anyone point me to a thread which I can look for suggestions what could possibly be wrong, our what to check.
on topic but not.
If I was to get the switchs and such for the CC, could I just link up to MultiECUscan and turn it on????
1. get multiecuscan
2. go to engine/parameters and see if activating cruise control is activated in the ecu.
3 check -with MES- if the clutch pedal switch works.
4. check -with MES- if the brake pedal switch works.

Yep 99% of the time, have a search, a very good guide in a thread in fitting CC to the Stilo
Could someone recommend a tried and tested multiECUscan
MultiECUscan is software. I assume you mean the cable. You need something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALFA-FIAT-DIAGNOSTIC-LEAD-MULTIECUSCAN-FIATECUSCAN-ELM-v1-4-ODB2-ECU-ENGINE-/251737835512?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a9cbe87f8
The 3 colour option will allow you to access most functions although the basic single cable is sufficient for doing engine and such.
Its just above the fuse box next to the steering wheel
