More than likely that it has lost its code - happened to me a couple of years ago. Changed the battery but to no effect - had to be replaced under warranty by dealer and in doing so had to change the other one as well.

Re: stilo key not working

Change the batteries. Then introduce the car to the fob once again. Talk to them saying "I don't know why you two aren't getting along, you were meant for each other. Now kiss and make up"
Don't expect miracles. Put the fob in the dark of a drawer for a week to sulk then try it again.
Magic! It works!
Well it worked for me!

Re: stilo key not working

What battery does it take?!

Looking at my key, there is a screw on the side - never opened it, but has anyone else?

As for small batteries, I use this place http://www.watchbattery.co.uk/

Exclamation Re: stilo key not working

they finaly rung me back the battery cost £3.14,
and a new key fob was £84.00, but they said if its not the battery,
and then they said if its not the battery, it will have to come in to the shop and pluged in to find the fault but they also said it might not be coverd under warrenty, anybody else had this problem cheers, yours fed up.

Re: stilo key not working

Do like I said above. Put some new batteries in. If the key fob red light doesn't flash constantly when pressed then the batteries are dead

You don't need a new key fob unless the key fob circuitry is broken. It just needs tuning in to the ECU which they have to do to a new key fob anyway

Re: stilo key not working

If the remote has lost its code you have to produce all the keys you have to be reprogrammed (immobiliser) after this is done examiner will allow remote programming.
