retro fitting stilo parts?

Hey,

i broguht a 03 plate 1.8 petrol dynamic a couple of weeks back (I am chuffed with it!) i am looking to add a few extra features like cruise control, cd controls on the steering wheel, side skirts, bigger alloys and spoiler. I have been in touch a few fiat dealers and there talking silly money to add these. Just wondering whether u guys have self fitted any of these, and whether or not there hard to do and wheres the best place to get them from?

Rich

I think you'll struggle on the cruise control & multifunction steering wheel front TBH as if it hasn't been fitted already then you may not have the wiring behind the dash for it. As for skirts wheels & spoilers there's plenty of choice just look on the internet. You can get Abarth style skirts & spoilers from this site http://www.lester.it/uk/catalogo_articolo.asp?id=824 & for the spoiler http://www.lester.it/uk/catalogo_articolo.asp?id=819 Also try any of these sites for alloys!

Re: retro fitting stilo parts?

Thanks alot for that. it seems that cruise control is actually rather easy to install (providng you have no problems).
I'll see if i can find a bashed up stilo with cruise control so i can steal the lever from the stearing wheel.
Could somebody please post a picture of the cruise control lever on a Stilo??

Thanks a bunch

Is it very easy then? What does the stick for the 147 cost?

Cheers

Re: retro fitting stilo parts?

According to that thread it silo one costs aprox 180 something euros so i'd say the alfa one will cost aprox 200 euros.

Re: retro fitting stilo parts?

ive phoned a alfa dealer and he said that the stalk does come on its own
(i said it was for a 1.6 lusso 02 reg )

and it costs the princely sum of £38.03 in vat!

so i might just have a look to see if i have the plug free for it on my stilo at the weekend, it looks like its a bit more complicated than just plug and play, you need to take a feed of the body computer from around the battery area.
