Hello Shanehane - was there a conclusion to your shock absorber replacements?
At over 160,000km I feel the shocks on our Stilo are softer than before - the right front seems especially soggy - though the hissing noticeable at slow speeds was always a standard Stilo feature of its gas-charged shocks, to provide its soft and supple ride.
I have the option of Italian-branded shocks in stock in Cambridge - some brand like "Top" - they only come in one type for all Stilo models, which means some will miss out on correctly-positioned bolt holes, by the looks.
Anyway - hopefully you've been happy with what you've found and can help with some 20/20 hindsight for me?
Cheers
-Alex
Hey Alex. Sorry I can't provide you with any info other than - it's all screwed up.
I searched for a long time and basically every company who make absorers had a different idea for the shocks. I can tell you for a fact that if the seller tells you his front shocks fit all models then he's full of s#$t.
I'm reasonably confident that the rear shocks fit all, but the front ones need to be a very specific hole configuration and weight (dampening) for the heavier 2.4l engine.
I'm all the way down in New Zealand so I don't have anyone local who knows anything so I just gave up!!!
