Hi there, guys!

First of all I'd like to say that my english is not the best and I hope I can be very clear.

I am new in the forum and this is my first appearance here. I swear I've looked everywhere for a problem like mine, but I couldn't find it. I am sorry if I am posting something old again.

The problem I have is that my Climate Control (manual version) doesn't start at all. I am not sure, but it seems that it also doesn't light at all (I am going to double check later). I am going to give some information about my car below:

My car has the airbag fault;
Climate control doesn't work;
Radio only works on CD;
No power from the cigarette lighter.

Is there any connection between them? The airbag sensor is just messed up under the right seat and that's not the biggest problem. I am going to check today behind the climate control panel if I can see anything wrong (like melted cables, loss, etc.), but I'd like to know if you guys has any tip where I can look for? Like a fuse? I checked them (visual only) and they look like they're just fine. No burned or broken circuit.
Where does the climate control cables ends?

I hope I could be clear and I'd like to thank you all in advance for at least reading about my problem.

Kind regards,
Juan.

the airbag light will be on because the little yellow plugs under seat. in the plugs is a peice of metal called a "jumper" so that if it becomes disconnected for any reason it will bring up a message and light on dash. You can do either a; take the jumper out (which i did) then ziptie around the plugs to pull them togeather then tape them up so they are tight and cant come apart , or b;do the later of that and just zip tie the plug so that it makes it a super tight connection.

anything you do PLEASE DO WITH IGNITION OFF AND KEYS OUT!!!!! airbags are loud and will deinitley give you a sore head.

check fuses for ciggarette socket supply and radio sounds like it is toast.
You say climate manual climate control. laymans terms = knobs (manual) or no knobs(computer controlled)????

Thank you for the help!

One thing: in order to check the connectors of my airbag sensor, do I also need to disconnect the battery for 30 minutes at least?

About my climate control, it's the manual version.

Another thing: can you please tell me where the cigarette fuse is located? Is it one of the fuses in the fuse box? I am going to disassemble the centre console to check for damage wire due the handbrake (I saw this happening very often here in the forum).

Like I said in the beggining, I thought that the MANUAL climate control didn't light at all, but I was wrong. It lights, but it doesn't work. Is there a fuse where I can check? I don't wanna open if I don't know where to look for.

Thanks!

yes fuse will be located in dash should be for radio to perhaps. check the socket itself for any object that may have shorted it, i have came across a couple of times the metal ring on cheap electrical items plugs have came off and shorted out the socket.
i would advise to disconnect and leave for half hour or more the battery when fiddling with airbag system. Though if you know someone who is reasonably comfortable with knowledge of vehicle electrics, let them do it! so if it goes wrong it will take their head off instead!

Hi!

I found two burned fuses and one was for the climate control. The other one I believe it's for the cigarette, but I didnt' test yet.

Anyway, thank you very much for your time and help.

That's priceless!

Cya!

Juan.

This topic can be closed. Problem solved. It was a shortcut on my reverse light (that uses the same fuse, F31)
