First and foremost, I have an '02 1.2 16v 5-door
Yesterday my engine started juddering and I got an engine fault message. Pulled over and called a friend with a tow truck to pick me up since I was about 40km from home and didn't know what was wrong. Turns out, it seems to be the 1st ignition coil (on the left as you look at it). It seems to have broken and has popped up. When we pushed it down the engine steadied up, but once we revved it, it popped back up and the engine started juddering again. I was thinking about replacing it myself, since it seems to be fairly easy, but I'm not experienced with car maintenance so I want to be sure first.
Is this what I need? goo .gl/4BLSzI (sorry, I cant post urls yet so if you remove the space you can see it!). And would the first (cheapest!) one there be okay?
Secondly, my boot button on the boot and keys doesn't work at all and I have to use the key to open the boot manually. Is this something that's easily fixable? Or could it be damaged wiring on the way back to the boot? Everything else back there is working fine so I assume it's just an issue with the release switch... Again, I'm not experienced so I don't know myself.
Thanks and sorry if this is a common issue. I tried searching, but I couldn't really find the exact same problem that I'm having!
