Hey folks I've removed gearbox on my fiat stilo and fitted new clutch, put all back together and the linkage pin for left/right selection is offset and in turn has pulled gear lever to the left and only selecting 4th, 5th and 6th trying to get it sorted for Monday for mot, need back on road ASAP

you probably knocked the selector when manhandling the box..

you SHOULD be able to move it back by hand..

post should really be in @ TECHNICAL ;) ( I've asked if it could be moved)

MOT- lack of gears shouldn't be a failure..!!??

IF you can still drive it there safely..:rolleyes:

I think I have knocked the selection tor but amseeong as I am only getting 4th 5th and 6th I wouldn't want to risk it as just fitted new clutch, it's like the tpp selector lever pin has repositioned itself and is in turn catching the gearbox mount
 
I'm new to these forums so don't have a clue about them lol
 
I was thinking of taking the selector out and seeing if I can move pin back into postion that way
 
undo the part you undid before..,
you may see what the options are..,

Hello again I managed to sort it, removed selector lever arm on gearbox, pushed pin down and turned it back to original position
