hi i am new to fiats and have bought a 1.2 2002 stilo 3door . it needs some work to b tidy , like my arches are dented and rusted from the tool that owned the car before me hitting a gate  and the usuail airbag failure i cannot seem to fix for the nct. anaway , i was wondering do arches off the 5door's/ estate fit my 3 door .and allso , is there any car that i could buy coilovers out of that would fit in my stilo as they are far to expensive to buy new and as rare as hens teeth here in ireland so far .thanks :p

well i have been toying with buy a vectra c set of coilovers as they look extremely similar and also fit the fiat croma, but have been waiting to find out the sizes before i lay out £200 on a set, if they do, then it will be easy to get a stilo low for peanuts, as it stands i have pi 40mm springs to put on my standard shocks just not got round to it

Sorry for hijacking a thread :)

Why are you looking specificly for a vectra c coilovers? Why not Astra G as example. those coilovers are also similar to a stilo. i could see few problems that might occur.
1. Drop link fixation could be lower than the stilos, can be solved with adjustable or shortened drop links.
2. coilover fixation to a car could be too wide or too narrow, if its too wide, you can always add few pieces of metal plates, optional - weld them. If it's too narrow, then you could weld a new fixations. :)

Did you try asking some info on Opel forums? What info do you need? :)

Oh, and here is a wild idea, Home made coilovers :D Buy FK sport shocks, cut down spring plate, and buy, then weld coilover sleeves. You can buy coilover springs from FK or custom made.

The only reason I have been looking at Vectra C coilovers in general is because a friend of mine put them on his fiat croma and I know they share the same floopan. When he was fititng them he said they looked almost identical to his fiat marea shock in size and fixing pattern, I know the rear the shock fit in a slightly different position. I also looked at buying the sleeved inserts but they are still standard shocks with an adjustable platform, and also the rear of the estate is different to the 3 and 5 door with adjuster cups being bolted to the rear beam.

I will get round to measuring the 2 shocks up to see if they will fit straight on, may even try one on when I get 5 minutes.
