...without any pattern... Doesn't matter if it's cold or hot. The engine fault comes up, and the engine stops. After about 10 secs, starts up like nothing happend. And after a couple of starts the engine fault light goes off. It can do that 5 times a day, or no problem for a week. As I said, no pattern... WTF is happening?

I'm sorry.. A couple months ago was the CKP. Can it be again? Clivvy, I'm in Croatia! ;)

possibly, though now you have said it is new then I think its reasonable to assume the CKP is not the cause.

ok, what about fuelling - have you checked the fuel filter and pipe work for air bubbles, have you checked the fuel pump and relays?

Does it struggle to start, does it idle ok? Have you checked the MAP, MAF and Boost Solenoid valve?

Have you read the codes? What ever code appears when it happens, you need it, it may be a vital clue.

Hmm... I had a shutdow, couple of months ago, after a good wash. I haven't washed the engine but the battery cover was not on. As it stalled, I remembered that I saw a post mentioning the relays by the batt. I pulled them out and put them back. The car started and had no problem with it till now. Can it be a sticky relay???

this might well be your issue - you have moisture in the fuse box at a guess. I would remove it, clean it, and yeah check/change the relays which aren't that expensive anyway

Well, the problem was the fuse box by the battery. All coroded on the inside. No wonder that the car was acting strange.
