I bought a Stilo a month ago, everything works fine, no errors, but sometimes the car does a weird thing. Going normally 50km/h or 90km/h doesn't matter, but the car just stops accelerating and does a jerking motion like it's going to stall. Meanwhile the revs are fine, flooring the throttle does nothing, switching to lower gears THEN flooring the throttle and getting the revs up to 4-5k (I usually use the car at around 2-2.5k) sometimes fixes this problem but not always. I usually just park it and restart the car, everything works fine afterwards. Happens around once per week. No errors shown.

Your ECU is on the way out. Do you have it relocated?

You sure? No, it isn't relocated. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or somehow diagnose the problem?

I've noticed that once a problem is a bit vague and random, people claim the cause the be the ECU right away. Which could definitely be the case, but there's more to check.

- The alternator could be faulty for some reason, when you're revving your car the alternator will generate a higher output. Which for some reason might have influence on the fuel-ignition(?).
- A faulty coil could induce the same effect.
- A faulty spark plug could be the problem as well.

I can highly advise you to re-seat the engine ECU, that's currently sitting on the lower right corner, to a bracket next to the battery. Just to make sure you won't be suffering from an overheating ECU.

I went to diagnostics today, showed no errors (still paid a lot), 2 hours later my car did its thing again, I immediately restarted and the Engine Fault light came on. The car's been working fine since then, but the light won't go away. Should I go to diagnostics again and waste more money?

Move the ECU from the engine. Pletora of people done it, and you can find guides at every step on this forum or the net. Fairly easy to do.

I tried recalibrating the throttle, but after 12 minutes on idle the rpm started fluctuating (400-1200), then the car stalled. Restarted it, same thing happened after a few seconds. Restarted it again, the car was fine for 10minutes, rpm around 770. We measured the voltage on the battery, it was around 13.95V, dropped a little when the cooling fan turned on, then dropped again to 13.85V when I turned on the lights. Never gone above 14V even if I gave it full throttle. We cleared every contact we could find, reset the ECU (engine fault is gone for now), not sure what else to do

Ran some diagnostics, this is what I got:

Any ideas how to proceed?
The symptons are the usual, sometimes the car "hesitates" to accelerate, once every 100km or so it decides to not respond to the gas pedal, do a jerking motion and lose rpm slowly (then 2 minutes later it's like nothing happened and I can continue driving)
