Hi, I have a 1.2 Stilo and I've heard a few people in Germany have put Turbos on these engines but I just wanted to know if anyone could shed some light on how much boost I can run safely on this engine without blowing it up?

I would love to see some answers as well as I am with the 1.8 engine.

I have a 1.6 and made a thread called more power and someone explained it its do able just difficult

I have no clue but if you scroll down the stilo page someone recently turbo charged a 1.2 stilo

Was it a red one?

I think he sprayed it black it was a 5 door he put videos of it on youtube

iirc the 1.2 is the 1242 lump (albeit with a different head)... im pretty sure they're good for circa 120BHP. go spend some time in the CInq/Sei forum theres a couple of guys in there that run/have ran a decent boost setup.

how come you want to turbo it? surely it would make better sense for you to put the money into a faster stilo rather than turbo-ing a 1.2 and dealing with the problems that come with it.

I've already spend loads of time on it and modifying the interior and exterior! Plus I'd rather do it as experience, I'm not bothered about how long it takes

Hi, last year I upgraded my stilo 1,2 engine. I used components from 1,4 T-Jet. Actually I've done 20kkm without special problems. Boost max 0,6. Right now I am using 0,5.
Results after upgrading: torque 203 Nm and 129 KM.
