Bit of an odd one this time, the whip has started coming up with bulb failures nearly every time I press the brake pedal whils driving. The screen says check rear LHS turn light or the fog light. I have check the back end and the fogs and indicators are working fine. If i happen to be indicating left at the time, the indicator will blink rapidly as if a bulb was out but then return to normal. Could this be a bad earth of some kind?

Anyway if anyone has seen this before or knows anything about it, some info would be much appriciated.

Regards,

Toby

Check the corresponding rear cluster. I had a similar problem and whilst i never figured out why, for some reason the terminals on the cluster were heating causing the plastic around them to melt. I think this caused a change in the normal current causing a warning to pop up.

Its a bad earth on that side rear light , , i had the same problem , each time i pressed the brake peddel ,it would bring the errors up, and found that the earth on the light cluster had melted and came off the board , and it was ok when on side lights ben when more eletricty was needed , it just couldnt cope :) so sorted that out by takeing the light apart and fixing the melted part back on
