Styling Alloy wheels

well I would of thought you would need to research this, if I buy a set of second hand wheels the first thing I do is get in touch with a alloy wheel company.... I ask them the questions and you can tell them all the markings on the inside of the wheels. you can also find out what size tyre is best to use.

the schumacher stilo came standard with 18" wheels and there are guys in Brazil that fit 20's wheels.

you will then need to find the correct length of bolt so they don't foul and you can get them on safely.

you also need to check the centre bore of the wheel, I am pretty sure the stilo runs a 57.1mm centre bore but I could be wrong, so the wheel must be 57.1mm or larger to fit.

you will also need spigot rings, these are little plastic or metal round parts that fit your hub and fit your wheels so they are hubcentric and correctly mounted.

I would imagine a 205/40/18 tyre will work well.

every wheel is a different weight, for example the oz ultrleggera is a light weight race wheel which in 18" size will most probably be ligher than the standard 17" oem wheels on a abarth. a cheap ripspeed wheel in 18" will be alot heavier. On a 1.2 stilo this will slow it down as the corner weights are heavier. Also the rolling mass will be greater so gearing taller so acceleration will be alot slower.

hope this helps

What size spigot rings would i need?

If the new wheels are 72.6. bore, then you'll need 72.6 - 58.1 rings as you posted above.
.

Most likely you made a mistake by looking at new wheels bore. It might help if you could post a pic of your new wheels, and most wheels got info (like bore size, ET, width..) on the back of the wheel. Just take a look.
