No no it isn't like that my engine isn't broke yet i hope! :D

When i slow down in an intersection and put a lower gear in and let the car slow down with the engine breaking. For example going from 4th gear, to 3rd and then 2nd before hitting the brakes the current fuel usage never goes below 2 or 3 or so liters/100 km or whatever the scale is. I think in almost all other cars I've driven it has gone down to 0 fuel usage when I'm doing that.

Is it like that in your cars aswell? Or might this be somekind of problem or fault?

I have a 1,6 Stilo, 2002 3 door model.

I'm just curious and would like to put my mind at ease about this so I don't have to think about it anymore or have to think about it even more! It has been like this since I bought the car before christmas.

Any feedback from your experiences or knowledge is appreciated and if any others have thought about it aswell.

Same on my Stilo 1,6 . Never goes below 2 L/100 km.

No worries, nothing's wrong with your car regarding this "issue". (y)
