I need a new wiper stalk , unfortunately it comes as a whole unit, fiat quoted me £400 what a joke!

Part Number: 735532274
No Cruise Controle or volume controle. Just the basics.

Can Any recommend what other part number will fit?

Found a few on ebay but not sure if they'll fit.

I think I got one (I'm sure I got one, not sure on the part number). If you're around B'ham you can come collect it. I bought it for the cruise control stalk which I took off of it, don't need it anymore so you can have it (y)

Thanks

LIFE SAVER! Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, where did you get this information from? How do you know they will fit?

They are previous part numbers for 735532274 as shown in ePER, the Fiat parts catalogue.

Part numbers are changed for various reasons including a better and/or less expensive design, a different manufacturer (e.g. 2 different part numbers could be for the same design of switch but one made by Magneti Marelli and one by Bosch).

Reasons given for the part number changes in my previous post include; "Adaption to Standard", meaning that one design can be used for several applications, and "Switch with built in Spiral Cable" meaning that later switches were only supplied with the clockspring attached. (earlier switches were supplied without the clockspring).

How do you know they will fit?

I think it stands to reason that if a later part number can be used to replace an early one, they must be interchangeable. Therefore, any of the earlier numbers shown for your part number should be suitable for your car.

Of course, whoever you got the part number from, may have already gone through all the part number changes to get to 735532274. If you want to PM me your VIN, I'll look up the original part number shown for the switch for your car.

That's a lot of good information. I got the part number from FIAT who looked it up for me from my Reg.

Thanks for the update!

It's in the shed somewhere, I'll dig it up on Sunday and let you know. I could drop it off somewhere for you, I'm off to London on Monday with work (around Westfield), this way you won't have to pay for postage ;)
